About the Founder

Our founder entered the U.S. oilfield service sector in February 2000 after spending four years in commercial banking. The oilfield journey began with an eight-year stint at Key Energy Services where he served in several roles, including managing Key’s investor relations and strategic planning functions. During this time, he participated in the due diligence process for multiple acquisitions; assisted on numerous equity and debt financings; and actively engaged with the institutional investment community.

In April 2008, our founder departed Key Energy to join Simmons & Company International (now Simmons Energy) as a research analyst within the firm’s oil service research practice. There, his research focus surrounded trends and business segments tied to the U.S. onshore oil services market, specifically pressure pumping, well servicing, frac sand, land drilling and coiled tubing, among others. During his twelve years at Simmons, he authored numerous industry reports, including on-the-ground field commentary as well as hundreds of stock-related opinion notes. In addition, he has presented at numerous industry conferences as well as to company employees and Board of Directors.
